What is Self Honoring Evolution?

Self Honoring Evolution (S.H.E.) is a nonprofit organization founded on the belief that lasting cultural change begins with the individual. By honoring our own growth, wellness, and humanity, we become better equipped to support and uplift those around us.

Through a matriarchal lens, we cultivate community for self discovery and connection to those seeking a more compassionate and collaborative world.

Who can become a member?

S.H.E. welcomes individuals from all walks of life to be members, participate, and contribute to the cultivation of our intersectional approach to wellness. However, some events and gatherings will notably remain reserved for women-identifying individuals.

What fees are associated with participation?

We operate on a donation-based model to keep our spaces accessible to all. There are no required fees to be a member nor to attend our regular gatherings.

Special Events and Retreats may include a participation fee, and optional merchandise is available for purchase. All contributions go directly towards supporting and sustaining our community functions.

What skills or experience do I need to participate?

No prior experience is required to participate in any S.H.E. gatherings. Our spaces are designed to support learning, reflection, and personal growth. We simply ask that participants come with openness, curiosity, and a willingness to engage respectfully within community.

Who operates S.H.E. Gatherings and Events?

Our gatherings are facilitated by a small leadership team not associated to any additional organizations.

Carly Andrews, LPC stands as our Circle Matriarch, providing guidance during open discussions and gatherings.

Reed Andrews serves as Circle Coordinator overseeing the organization, scheduling, and communication within our community.

Where is S.H.E. located?

S.H.E. is located in the DFW Metroplex often central to Fort Worth, Tx however on occasion, gatherings, events, and retreats will be at special locations requiring extended travel.

Is this a therapy support group?

No. S.H.E. is not a therapy group and should not be considered a substitute for professional mental health treatment or clinical care. While licensed professionals may be present and members are welcome to speak on heavier themes using their life experiences, participation does not constitute therapy or clinical services for treatment or diagnosis.

How do I participate?

Before participating in a S.H.E. Circle, Gathering, or Event individuals must register as a member and sign our liability waiver which can be found under Member Information. Participation can be as simple as showing up and engaging in the activities, volunteering resources or expertise, or donating financially to our cause.
